Description The iApproaches in Islamic Studies course discusses various methodological approaches in studying Islam, including philosophical, historical, sociological and theological approaches. Students will explore the basic concepts of each approach, understand their relevance and application in the analysis of Islamic phenomena, and examine the differences and integration of these various perspectives in Islamic studies. The main focus is given to how to interpret Islamic texts, understand the socio-cultural context, and relate them to contemporary issues. Through this course, students are expected to be able to develop critical and holistic insight in understanding and analyzing various aspects of Islamic studies, on the basis of scientific methods and academic ethics.
