Description | This course provides an understanding of various research methods used in the field of education, with a focus on quantitative, qualitative and development approaches. Students will explore various quantitative approaches that focus on instrument development, on collecting and analyzing numerical data to test hypotheses and theories. Meanwhile, the qualitative approach studies the basic principles of each method, data collection techniques, checking the validity of the data, and data analysis in accordance with the type of research chosen. The qualitative approach will teach students to explore educational phenomena in depth. The development approach will provide insight into the design and testing of relevant new educational products. Students will also learn to design, carry out and compile research reports using appropriate methodology to produce valid, reliable and applicable findings in an educational context. Through this course, students are expected to be able to apply various research methods to develop better knowledge and educational practices. |
